Visitor and Visitation Policies and Procedures

ScholarChip Visitor Management System

Our school currently have visitor processes in place in accordance with the District’s required administrative procedures for school visitors. A visitor is a parent, adult resident, educator, official or other individual who is not a school employee or independent contractor, and who visits a school or attends or participates in an event or activity at a school. All visitors must have a valid driver’s license, PA State Photo identification card or you will need to be manually entered into the system. You will need to provide a valid state ID to our office staff to receive a Visitor’s badge. You must also check out once your visit is completed.

Classroom Visits

Parents/Guardians are welcome to schedule an appointment to visit their children’s classroom at Dr. Ethel Allen School. However, to limit interruption of instructional time, parents/guardians who wish to schedule a visit need to contact the main office  to express interest. The teacher will contact an administrator for approval. Once your request is received and approved, you will be notified of the date and time to visit. Please note, we may limit the time for a classroom visit so as not to disrupt our instructional plan. Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure safety of all students, all visitors will be escorted by an administrator or designee

For safety and security reasons, visitors are only permitted in the classroom when the classroom teacher is present. Parents are prohibited from speaking to any student other than their own.

After-School Playground Use

Students are more than welcome to utilize the play ground as long as they are supervised by an adult.  If they are not, they must leave school grounds at dismissal as there are no staff and aftercare here at Dr. Ethel Allen School.  This is to ensure the safety of all students.
